Services For Adults & Families

Genie Networks provides assessment and support for deaf adults with advice, information, guidance and support.

Examples of services we provide are:
• Information, advice and signposting to appropriate services.
• Deaf Awareness for families.
• Advice and practical guidance about communication.
• Assistance to ensure access to mainstream services.
• Advocacy and emotional support.
• Social skills development.
• Employment support.
• Access to learning and training opportunities.
• Access to deaf community.
• Communication development.

A Drop In service is held on Friday mornings at Genie Networks office in Altrincham and on a Wednesday afternoon in St Matthews Hall, Stretford. Deaf people, their families and carers/support workers can attend without an appointment. Deaf people can meet in the social room. Genie Networks focuses on developing deaf people's confidence, social and communication skills. News and information is shared from a wide range of organisations and services with regular interactive workshops.
